FDACS

Also known as: Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) is the state agency responsible for licensing pesticide and herbicide applicators. Commercial applicators of aquatic herbicides must hold an Aquatic Pest Control category license. Private property owners can apply over-the-counter aquatic-labeled products on their own water without a license, but the label is enforceable. FDACS also issues transport permits for prohibited aquatic plants.
